One of the earliest directories, this one covers the whole of the counties of the southern half of Wales, with descriptions of all of the towns and main villages, churches, schools, etc. and a listing of people with trades. From doctors to candle makers, dress makers working from home to chimney sweeps, butchers, bakers and bricklayers. A huge amount of early 19th century information of interest to historians and genealogists.

The South Wales section was purchased from a book dealer unbound, and Archive CD Books finally managed to piece together all of the county sections to have the book rebound. This CD contains the county directories of the whole of the southern half of Wales, and comes complete with a high quality zoomable map.

Every place in the counties of Brecon, Cardigan, Camarthen, Glamorgan, Pembroke and Radnor, listed alphabetically, with descriptions of their history and local facilities. Each town, village and hamlet has a directory of local residents and tradespeople. Cardif and Swansea have superb street by street, almost house by house, directories with the name and occupation of the head of the household

There are also pan-county Court (alphabetical private residents) and classified trades directories. Kindly loaned by The Family Record Centre in London.
