Comprehensive (and very large) with excellent descriptions of each place in the county, its facilities in 1834 and its history. Many thousands of people listed with their trades and occupations.

An excellent early county directory, before the first census of 1842, thus making it very valuable to the family history researcher. Gives good descriptions of the towns and main villages and their facilities, churches, schools, and institutions, etc. together with lists of all the people with trades.

An incredibly comprehensive directory. Descriptions of every place in the county with lists of private residents and commercial traders in each town, village and hamlet. There is also a court directory with an alphabetical list of private individuals and their addresses plus a classified trdes directory. A fabulously comprehensive directory of the county of Staffordshire. Each town, village and hamlet is described in great detail, with information about the schools, churches and hospitals etc in each place. Each place has a commercial directory, which lists people and their occupations, and the vast majority also have a list of private residents with their addresses.

Staffordshire 1900 Kelly's Directory

Not just the town but the entire county of Staffordshire. A detailed description of each and every place and the traders who worked there. There are also sections devoted to private residents of the larger towns so this is an extremely important resource for genealogists, with the date being only a year before the 1901 census This book was kindly loaned to The Archive CD Books Project by The Family Records Centre (the PRO) in London
