The original book was written in 1618 by Robert Reyce and this is a transcription from the original manuscript by Lord Francis Hervey. A superb topographical description and history of the county with genalogies of noteworthy familes, the names of the lords of the manors, knights, justices etc. Hervey also took the time to compile an excellent index which is included here.
