A very unusual and rare series of three separate books compiled by the City Engineer for use by various council departments. Every street in the city is documented along with details of adoption dates (when the council assumed responsibility for its maintenance), measurements, re-naming details and dates etc. Each book is in a printed format with many hand written additions and amendments made by, in this case, the Roads Department. This is an invaluable set of records which will be of immense use to all family historians with ancestors in the City of Liverpool.
